Thank you so much, this was a good read. I was actually born in Spain ( not telling you what year though!) but was moved around various parts of europe and finally settled in England when I was a teenager. I dont remember much of the few years I was in spain, but the delicious smell of spanish food always seems to get me going or something. It's weird how I dont remember anything except the smells,isn't it! I actually found a whole internet site dedicated to spanish recipes, which gave me great delight and thought I really should to share with your readers. Anyway, thank you again. I'll get my husband to add your website to my rss thing...

When I turned 50 I was attending a technical school in the state, and the young girls in the class bought me a key ring that said “foxy Grandma”, because they had never known a grandma that was as daring as I was. they also gave me a “risque” birthday card, but before they gave that to me they asked one of the other women who was in her thirties if she thought I would be offended, which I wasn’t.

My Spanish girl friend and I made up a song modeld after “Spanish Eyes”….

“You can’t hide, yer Spanish thighs
That celluliteeeee can’t be disguised
Thought by now you’d realize
There ain’t no way to hide yer spanish thighs
Spandex, it won’t hide those spanish thighs…”

I am glad that the cellulite is not unique to my thighs
